Great smoker for the money,
I used this smoker the day before Thanksgiving to smoke a pork shoulder. This smoker was great! The pork fell off the bone and was absolutely tastey. The heat stayed stable and was very easy to use. Previous smokers have had problems maintaining heat, or would not stay hot enough to cook - not a problem with this one. If you are looking for a cheap smoker that will get the job done. This one is the smoker for you.

This grill/smoker combo was a good value for the money as I looked at many others before making this selection. It cooks really nicely and smokes well too.

The only issue I have with this product is the paint is now peeling off the top of the side smoker box after one use. It happened when the fire got too hot maybe.
(Although in fairness, the manual says it might happen.) I just didn't expect it to happen the first time we used it.

Otherwise, a great grill/smoker for the money!

Having a ball with my Smokin Pro, 08/31/2009
I received my Smokin Pro a little over 2 weeks ago and after seasoning it, used it for grilling steaks and lamb chops. They turned out great and received raves from my family and guests. My sons and their families were especially complimentary on the flavor of the entrees that were prepared. I'm planning to Barbeque / Smoke a couple of slabs of Short Ribs (Georgia style) Labor Day weekend and expect they will also be excellent.

Great smoker/grill, 08/23/2009
After looking at a few other off set firebox grills this had the heaviest gauge steel to stand up to the heat and last longer. Was very easy to put together, only needed help when attaching firebox. Once the cast iron cooking grates are seasoned properly food does not stick to it's large cooking area and a good price too.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this product. It is everything I thought it would be. The first day we got it we seasoned it then smoked some burgers that night. They were excellent. The cast iron grills work just as I had hoped. The side box smoked the burger perfectly.

The only problem was that there were a couple of small dents caused by careless handling during shipping. They had no impact on functionality so we did not return the product.

We recommend the Char-Griller highly.

i bought this grill for my honey last year for his birthday. it wasn't too hard to put together and the parts were all there. it has been working great for us this past year. he's big into grilling and smoking, even in the winter. we are both very happy with this purchase.
